Our terms & conditions

 

All bookings are subject to the following terms and conditions. The terms 'we', 'us' or 'our' refer to the owners of Nostell Chauffeur Company. The term 'you' refers to the user of our website, or user of our chauffeuring or wedding car services.

 

Airport parking

  1. For airport trips we apply the relevant airport parking cost to each quote to cover parking and waiting time for up to one hour after your flight arrives. This gives time to collect baggage, meet us in the arrivals hall and then leave the airport.

  2. If your flight’s arrival is delayed through no fault of your own, there are no additional charges for parking or waiting.

  3. If you specifically wish for us to wait longer for you, or there is an extra delay on your part, additional airport parking and waiting time charges could be applied.


Waiting time

  1. We allow 15 minutes free of charge waiting time for each customer collection. So if you do happen to run a little over the pick up time we agreed (up to 1 hour after flight arrival for airport pick ups), this 15 minutes usually covers that for you with no additional costs.

  2. However, if you would specifically like us to wait for you on arrival at your starting point or at your destination for longer than 15 minutes, or you want to depart more than 15 minutes later than the pick up time agreed, the cost is then £20 per hour of waiting time. The charge applies when you go into each new hour after your 15 minutes of allocated free waiting time ends, even if the full hour is not utilised.

  3. For journeys over 100 miles two hours of waiting time is included free of charge.

  4. For returns you can choose to utilise our £20 per additional hour waiting time service and have us on standby so you can be flexible with when you leave, or instead you can book your return journey as a completely separate trip at a set time.

  5. If you wish to leave any belongings in the vehicle between journeys, journeys will be charged as one booking which will incur waiting time charges.

  6. Wedding bookings are an exception to the above 5 terms, as waiting time is inclusive of the hours booked.


Payments 

  1. All chauffeuring bookings with a value of £200 or over, are subject to a 25% deposit upon booking.

  2. All wedding and prom car bookings are subject to a £30 non-refundable deposit per vehicle upon booking. For wedding bookings the remaining balance must be paid one month before the day of the wedding.

  3. Bookings may be subject to additional waiting time, car park charges and tolls. These charges will only be applied on your approval, and in response to a specific request made by yourself or someone representing your business.

  4. If you pay by card in the vehicle the charge on your credit or debit card statement will be shown as Nostell Chauffeur Co.


Cancellations 

  1. For chauffeuring bookings - Cancellations received 14 days or less before the hire period, will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee of the value of the booking, minus any deposit paid. Cancellations received 24 hours or less before the hire period, or complete failure to notify, will be subject to a 100% cancellation fee of the value of the booking, minus any deposit paid.

  2. For wedding car bookings - Cancellations received one month or less before the hire period, or failure to notify, will be subject to a strict 100% cancellation fee of the value of the booking, minus any deposit paid.

  3. Where a cancellation fee applies you will be notified and invoiced via email or post within 10 days of the intended journey date.


General

  1. We maintain a strict no-smoking policy inside our chauffeur vehicles.

  2. The driver will always drive at safe and sensible speeds in accordance with legal speed limits, traffic and road conditions.

  3. The driver will travel by the most appropriate route on the day, unless otherwise instructed by the customer at the time of booking.

  4. If there are any changes or variations to journeys, including extra mileage, other than that which was agreed at the time of booking, the customer will be charged extra to reflect the changes.

  5. You are fully responsible for any damage you cause to the interior or exterior of our chauffeur vehicles and will be billed accordingly for any consequential repairs or cleaning that is required, plus a £100 per half-day fee for the time that vehicle has to be off the road for any repairs or cleaning.

  6. We may provide sub-contracted drivers or vehicles but only in case of an emergency. You will be informed if this is the case and given relevant information.

  7. We will do our utmost to ensure that our drivers arrive on time, but we cannot accept responsibility for delays or loss caused by circumstances out of our control.

  8. Our vehicles are fully insured for passenger and third party claims. However, customer's properties are carried entirely at their own risk and we shall not be held liable for any loss or damage to such property.

  9. We keep a lost property book at our operator office, and will return any lost goods left in our vehicles to the customer as soon as possible.

  10. We advise that you to plan to arrive at the airport 3 hours prior to flight departure, to allow for possible unpredictable delays en route to or from the airports.

  11. We do not accept any responsibility in any way for missed flights or events for any reason i.e. traffic delays, accidents, severe weather conditions, breakdowns or any unforeseen circumstances.

  12. We monitor weather forecasts at least 2 weeks in advance where there could be heavy snow or ice. Should severe weather conditions prohibit us from getting to you or our destination, we will let you know as soon as possible so you can make alternative arrangements.

  13. We reserve the right to change your vehicle or driver at any time if necessary due to an emergency or unforeseen circumstance, and will inform you of any such changes.

  14. By supplying your telephone number and email address you permit us to contact you via telephone or email, in return we promise to never supply your information to any third party.

  15. We and our drivers have the right to refuse to carry any passenger who is thought to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and whose behaviour poses a threat either to the driver, the vehicle, or any other passenger(s).

  16. Our Jaguar XJL is fitted with a discreet dash camera which will primarily record footage outside the vehicle. To provide protection and reassurance in the event of us chauffeuring an unaccompanied child or vulnerable adult, it may also be used to record footage inside the vehicle. The system and memory card will be securely stored within the vehicle and away from public access.

  17. There is a surcharge of 100% for bookings on Christmas Eve after 16:00, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Eve after 16:00, and New Year's Day. Please notify us at the time of booking if you plan to travel on any of these days so that we can quote accordingly.

  18. A booking is not final until you have provided us with all of the requested information and have received a booking confirmation email, letter or text message confirming you have been booked in.

  19. This does not affect your statutory rights.
